Keynote Address:  Islamic Leadership in the Changing ASEAN Context – Fostering Peace and Development

Plenary 1: Islamic Leadership Concepts and Perspectives

Examines the evolution of Islamic leadership in thought and practice, and through discussions on the present state of concepts and perspectives concerning Islamic leadership shall identify key current issues on the Muslim Ummah in the ASEAN.

Plenary 2: Common Themes on the Regional Context of Islamic Leadership

Highlights the experiences of different countries in applying Islamic leadership, and the common themes and challenges arising in a uniquely ASEAN context.

Roundtable Discussion 1:  Responding to the Regional Context through Islamic Leadership

Focuses on current responses from various ASEAN member countries with regard to leveraging Islamic leadership to address the regional context.

Roundtable Discussion 2: Developing Islamic Leadership in the Muslim Ummah

Examines the experiences and practices of various ASEAN member countries in Islamic leadership development through the sharing of the panel.

Roundtable Discussion 3: Emerging Model for Islamic Leadership Practice and Development

Explores the practice of Islamic leadership and through shared experiences and frameworks in the region, shall begin crafting a model for Islamic leadership and development.

Roundtable Discussion 4: Moving Forward as a Community

Develop a community for the sustainable study and practice of Islamic leadership.
